I heard a quote recently from a lady who worked in politics, chastising people for disengagement from politics...something along the lines of "You might not care about politics, but politics definitely cares about you," in that the decisions made will affect your life regardless of your level of concern.

Exactly. I understand why people don’t agree with the system, but it’s there and it will impact our lives whether we vote or actively take part in it or not. It’s our responsibility to vote for what’s right.

I really admire her “never settle” attitude. She’s brutally honest, but that kind of clarity is rare—knowing exactly what you want and having the courage to walk away when it’s not met. That honesty and self-respect feel incredibly empowering.

You are being an asshole, Eric. I’d rather lose and gain new friends than keep disrespectful family members around. I’m assuming the reason your friends didn’t stick around is because you’re hateful and bitter.

I have responsibilities and yet have no trouble adjusting to changing pronouns (basic English).
